Apparently the cleaning crew had said they had cleaned out my room during the day while I was gone (which they didn't since I had the do not disturb sign up) and said that I checked out. I've only been here 1 night at this point and I'm scheduled to be here for 5 nights. So instead if checking the computer and seeing that they just decide to take the cleaning crews word for it and say I'm gone I guess?
Best hotel in Kansas City. Just a year old and nice and clean with modern rooms with fridge and microwaves. Really comfortable beds- best sleep Ive had at a hotel in a long time. Enjoyed the after 5pm reception ..good food and drinks.
I told the person to wait a minute so I can get dressed and she starts immediately asking who I am because they don't have anyone assigned to this room.

I'm minding my own business laying in bed when my room phone rings. Just one single ring. I answered and the line was dead. Weird, huh?
3 minutes later I'm laying in bed again and I hear 3 loud knocks in my door. I'm getting it if bed and not even 3 seconds after knocking I hear the door handle click and the door slams open against the security stop!
I finish dressing and open the door and she introduces herself as the assistant manager, and asks me who I am/who I'm with because they don't have me assigned to this room. I had just checked in the night before and told her as such and who I checked in with.
I understand it's their hotel, but seriously? That's a pretty bug invasion of my privacy when you just barge in like that. At least try knocking a few times or wait more than 3 seconds before barging in.
The Holiday Inn was very conveniently located for where I needed to be. There were plenty of restraunt options nearby. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. I will gladly stay there again.
What a great hotel! The staff is amazing and go out of their way to make sure you have a great stay! I am here for three months for work and have had the chance to change hotels. I choose not to because of the clean rooms, reasonable price, and wonderful staff.
The rooms are nice, beds are comfortable. It would be worth staying again except for one thing.
